Nuns

I am off to the nunnery today (is that a word?). There is a convent here that you can rent a room in. So I am going for a personal retreat and prayer time. It costs about $7 and you get all three meals and the room for the night. I have been wanting to do this for some time now, but it seems like I never make the time to do it. Well this week is the week. The only bummer is that there is no a/c and it is going to be 107 degrees today. So I am taking my small fan to point straight at my face while I sleep.

Sooo cool... I am hoping to do that when I get home - except in a comfy bed (may cost more than $9) and AC.

Stump

I am going through a process of change in my life. I thought I liked change, but it turns out that some change is bad. I feel like I have lost a part of myself with this change. My teeth have always been bad. Once, when I was a kid, I had 10 cavities at one time. And I brush twice daily and floss sometimes. To fear or not to fear, that is the question

Today's newspaper reports that we are on the highest alert level for terrorist attacks in the city. The airports in India are preparing for attacks or hijackings. At least three air marshals are reported to be on each flight leaving the city. http://www.asianage.com/presentation/leftnavigation/news/top-story/airports-turn-into-fortresses.aspx Last Sunday while I sat in church, instead of listening to the sermon, I was thinking about terrorist attacks at our church and what I would do. Outside our church we have two or three armed guards. I thought about a church in Pakistan that was attacked a few years ago and several people were killed. I don't mind being killed, but I don't want Micah to have to witness anything like that. So the kids go off to Sunday school. What if someone just attacked the Sunday school area? Oh boy.
