Proud Mama

This is a new comic series that Micah is making when he isn't working on Larry and Lenny. It is called Mushrooms. I think it is awesome and I am sure you will agree. Micah is so talented in his ability to make comics. I am so proud of him.

Brilliant! That's better than the majority of comics in my university's newspaper.

Stump

I am going through a process of change in my life. I thought I liked change, but it turns out that some change is bad. I feel like I have lost a part of myself with this change. My teeth have always been bad. Once, when I was a kid, I had 10 cavities at one time. And I brush twice daily and floss sometimes. But my mom says it is because she either had too much or too little floride when she was pregnant with me. So my teeth are bad. Which is why I am needing a root canal. Actually, I don't think I really needed a root canal, but they like to do extreme measures here with medical needs, so I "needed" a root canal. I just went in to get a filling replaced, but because my filling was deep and there wasn't much tooth left, the doctor said to get a root canal and then a cap. I had the root canal last week and am waiting for the cap to be made. So the doctor whittled down my tooth until it is just a stump in my mouth. And it makes me sad. I feel it all the time a...

To fear or not to fear, that is the question

Outside our church we have two or three armed guards. I thought about a church in Pakistan that was attacked a few years ago and several people were killed. I don't mind being killed, but I don't want Micah to have to witness anything like that. So the kids go off to Sunday school. What if someone just attacked the Sunday school area? Oh boy. I am reminded again to "take every thought captive". And I tried to concentrate on the sermon and not on my terrorist thoughts. So t...

Hats

Image
I have decided the next thing I want to give. I want to make hats and give them to the beggar kids. So now I have to find a store that sells yarn. I thought it would be easy to find a store because a lot of people knit. My first trip out to buy yarn resulted in no yarn. I have one of those Nifty Knitter circle looms that helps you make a hat or scarf or leg warmers. I could make a hat a day if I don't have a lot of other things to do. But first I need yarn. Oh where is the yarn in this city?
